About Me
My name is Asia, the founder and creative force behind Native A, a New York based studio where heritage meets modern craftsmanship. I come from a long line of dressmakers, artisans, and creative thinkers whose hands shaped stories through fabric. As a descendant of Freedmen and a native New Yorker whose family roots stretch as deep as the city itself, I’ve always believed that what we wear carries history, identity and memory.
After years working behind the scenes in the world of fashion, I found my calling not just in creation, but in preservation reviving garments with care, intention, and artistry. From delicate couture repair to home-based services and custom work, my approach is deeply personal; restoring beauty while honoring the life each piece has lived.
